Vai trò công tác xã hội trong bệnh viện tại Úc

Tóm tắt

Mục tiêu: Mô tả tầm quan trọng của công tác xã hội trong bệnh viện, hoạt động thực hành của nhân viên công tác xã hội trong việc hỗ trợ cho hệ thống bệnh viện tại Úc.

Phương pháp nghiên cứu: Tổng quan tài liệu từ các nghiên cứu của Hiệp hội công tác xã hội Úc về hoạt động công tác xã hội trong bệnh viện (AASW) với 13 tài liệu được tác giả trích dẫn

Kết quả nghiên cứu: Tại Úc, công tác xã hội trong bệnh viện có vai trò bảo vệ quyền được chăm sóc sức khỏe của người bệnh thông qua việc tư vấn các vấn đề xã hội có liên quan cho người bệnh và gia đình của họ trong quá trình điều trị; tìm kiếm các dịch vụ hỗ trợ trên cơ sở tìm hiểu và phân tích các yếu tố xã hội có ảnh hưởng đến sức khỏe của người bệnh; kết nối các dịch vụ hỗ trợ cho từng người bệnh; nghiên cứu cung cấp bằng chứng từ thực tế hoạt động để đề xuất chính sách; hỗ trợ giải tỏa tâm lý cho người bệnh, người nhà và nhân viên y tế…

Kết luận: Tại Úc, nhân viên CTXH bệnh viện cung cấp dịch vụ trực tiếp nhằm giảm thiểu tác động của bệnh tật trong quá trình nhập viện. Theo đó, nghề công tác xã hội được coi như một dịch vụ thiết yếu và liên tục trong chuỗi dịch vụ mà hệ thống bệnh viện cung cấp.

Methodology: A review of literature from the Australian Association of Social Workers’ Research on Social Work in Hospitals (AASW)-13 articles are quoted by authors. Results: Clarifying the specific activities of social workers in the hospital system in Australia such as counseling, assessment, crisis intervention, advocacy... for groups of clients support in the hospital. Discussion: The value of Social Work in hospitals in Australia for patients, caregivers, families and the community. Conclusion: In Australia, hospital social workers provide direct services to minimize the impact of illness during admission. Accordingly, social work is considered an essential and continuous service in the service chain that the hospital system provides. Key words: Social work, health care services, hospitals, Australia.
